DSPs provide customized assistance to individuals with disabilities to obtain and maintain valued social roles in the community, develop meaningful relationships, experience a quality home life, and become increasingly autonomous. DSPs assist individual's to reach their goals by teaching new skills, and networking within the community.

With this unique weekend position, you can make an average of $500 per weekend. 

The Details

  • Weekend shifts are Saturday 8 AM - Sunday 10 PM

  • $16 per hour (8 AM - 12 AM), $12 per hour (12 AM - 8 AM)

  • You are not required to stay awake overnight

  • Choose to work 2 or 4 weekends a month  

  • Medical Benefits available for DSPs who choose to do 4 weekends

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with someone with a disability.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation or be willing to transport client on TARC or by other means

  • Capacity to work well within a team structure and independently.

  • Interest and aptitude to work with and for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities

  • Physical ability to perform functions of lifting, transferring, positioning, and personal hygiene

  • Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation

  • Must be available some nights and weekends

  • Social skills and empathy required to relate well to others

  • Competence to learn and apply best practice strategies

We don't operate day services or specialized programs for individuals with disabilities. Instead we support people, in their homes and in the community, to invest their time in meaningful ways that help them identify and develop strategies to achieve their goals in life.
