Hope Leet Dittmeier

Executive Director

One of Hope’s favorite desserts is a chocolate chip cookie dough Blizzard.

Social Roles:

  • Mother of two amazing young adults and grandmother to two sweet (but labor-intensive) grand-dogs
  • Wife to Paul, her high school sweetheart who looks an awful lot like Harrison Ford!
  • Sister-in-law and neighbor to Ann who experiences intellectual disability
  • Casual gardener and hostess

With more than 30 years experience in supporting people with developmental disabilities to enjoy rich lives in community, Hope came to Mattingly Edge in October of 2014.  Her original role was as Director of Service Innovation.  Then, in March of 2016, she became the Executive Director.  Her favorite part of the work is creating the conditions that enable everyone – participants, staff and community members– to become more than they ever believed was possible (and to have fun in the process).   Hope is often accused of being ‘hopetimistic’ which she takes as a compliment whether it was intended as such or not.
